Vaccination rate among children under 12 low while Influenza is on rise

amid the rapid spread of influenza the
season health authorities are encouraging children under 12 years old
to get their free flu vaccines if they haven’t done so already according to the
Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention the vaccination rate is
roughly 70% and four out of ten elementary students in the fourth grade
and above haven’t had their shots it’s vital to increase immunity of the grib
especially for children who are most vulnerable health authorities have been
advising people to get the vaccine as soon as possible as the flu spreads in
December and it takes about two weeks for the vaccine to fully take effect
