The Real Reason Meri Brown Didn’t Move In With Her Sister Wives

The January 5th premiere of the new season
of Sister Wives saw a lot of drama, especially for first wife Meri Brown. The episode featured the Brown family moving
to Flagstaff, Arizona from Las Vegas, Nevada, with each wife moving into her own rental
home. Meri’s new neighbors, however, weren’t too
pleased about someone in a plural marriage living in the neighborhood. “They were not happy with our family being
here. They said they didn’t want our family here.” Meri explained, “The neighbors contacted the owner of my rental. I had a conversation with the owner. Pretty much the first thing she said to me
was, ‘Meri, I am second guessing the fact that I approved you to rent this house.’ She asked me if I would consider leaving the
house and not renting from her.” While the owner of the rental home was aware
of Meri’s circumstances before she moved in, pushback from the neighbors made for a tense
situation. “I was, like, completely open with her. They put it in the contract, in the rental
contract. She knows we’re a plural family. She knows we’re gonna be filming in the house.” Meri was unsure how she wanted to proceed
in light of what she perceived as bullying. While she didn’t want to give in to the pressure,
she also didn’t want to live in a neighborhood where she wasn’t welcome. “They’re bullying me. They’re bullying the owner to kick me out
because they don’t like who I am without even knowing me.” Meri eventually ended up deciding not to deal
with the hostile situation and temporarily moved back to Las Vegas while continuing to
search for a permanent home in Flagstaff. The move left fans wondering why Meri simply
didn’t move in with one of her sister wives while she was house hunting instead of fleeing
the state altogether. The stars of Sister Wives took to social media
to explain the situation. Meri wrote on Twitter as the show was airing, “Mixed feelings/emotions about staying in
Vegas for three months while I found another house in Flagstaff. I LOVE Vegas (no secret) but it was hard being
away from the family. I traveled back and forth often those months!” Her sister wife, Janelle, retweeted Meri’s
comment, adding, quote, “I’m so glad that is behind us!” A fan then asked Janelle why Meri couldn’t
have simply stayed with Janelle or fellow sister wife Robyn. Janelle answered, “Meri runs a business that takes a lot of
room and we have all moved into smaller homes compared to what we had. The bedrooms are full. We didn’t have an option.” Fellow sister wife Christine also expressed
her sadness at Meri having to move back to Las Vegas, tweeting, “It’s just sad that @MeriBrown1 is by herself
in our cul-de-sac. Super lonely! We really missed her A LOT!!” The reason Meri needs so much space in her
home is because she is a LuLaRoe retailer and needs space for her merchandise. Meri regularly posts pictures of the merchandise
she has for sale on her Instagram account and has her own website where people can purchase
merchandise. LuLaRoe isn’t Meri’s only business venture. She also owns a bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s
Heritage Inn, in Utah. The business opened in 2017, and is about
a five hour drive from Flagstaff. She told Us Weekly that the bed and breakfast,
was originally built by her ancestors in the 19th century, adding, “It’s not the type of thing that needs a whole
lot of hands-on. I’ve got employees that I hired that are there
doing the cooking and cleaning and stuff like that, and my mom is there.” Some fans weren’t buying the excuse that no
one had space for Meri, speculating that Meri moved back to Las Vegas because of a falling
out with her sister wives. Whether or not Meri moved because of a disagreement
with the other wives, it looks like things have turned around for the reality star. Since the episode was filmed, Meri has found
a home in Flagstaff and permanently relocated to the city with the rest of the Brown family,
an exciting development fans will likely see in a future episode of Sister Wives. Check out one of our newest videos right here! Plus, even more List videos about your favorite

  1. I love Merri she the most level headed one of all …. I don't understand what the big deal about Kody…

  2. Meri is better on her own .Run meri far away from that fake family. They do not want you apart of the family …and u shouldn't want to be a part of the disfunction

  3. Look, there is living close to someone and then living with someone. Merri has a business and all of the other women have a bunch of children and not a lot of space.

  4. Mari has been treated terribly by all of them. She should dump the whole gang. They should all be arrested. This is evil to the bone. This is a cult.

  5. They are so ridiculous! God does Not expect woman to share and have sex with one man! They are all committing adultery and fornicating! There is no way one man can meet the needs of 4 woman! What a farce!

  6. This is the most ridiculous show I’ve ever soon!! Is this real? Come on people “stupid is as stupid does” Forrest Gump can tell u that!! 😂

  7. Mary said in a commerical that Cody was spending more time with the other sisters and she wanted to feel close to Cody again.

  8. i hate cody, he is a arrogant person he just has always shown me that he likes to be in control. i felt bad for mary and the cat fishing scam. but i hate plural marriages. why cant the wifes have more than 1 husband. it is always men that get to have multiple and its sick he wants his cake and eat it too. and he has these wives to look after all his kids. mary to me seems sad and is looking for things to make her happy, while he is off with other woman.

  9. The sisters want Mary gone ! you can see that ..Mary is better off by her self ! start dating girl ..you need to get out of that hell hold ..The other three sisters are not very nice for being spirituals ! And he's a pig ..

  10. This show should not be in television this is bad example to the entire society . Never should TLC have a show so Horrifying. Bad bad tv.👎👎👎👎

  11. I left flagstaff in 2003 for a promotion….moved to Vegas….i hated 79 trains a day whistling all night, schools were lowest graded in nation…cold and windy…mud and cinder rock…and you,ll be paying state taxes now. Good luck. Think you made a mistake. Unless the plural community is your support system….which is close to flagstaff.

  12. So true. He wanted all their wives now he wants everything his way move move move every time always gets them in a bind disrupt the children it's all about him boo. Please keep on doing good girl you really don't need them all that much I know you needed some time to yourself girl keep it up. You are your own woman good for you no wonder you divorced him LOL

  13. Robyns house is gigantic there would be plenty of room there for her to do her business. Meri is awesome and I just want her to feel wanted. It’s tough in her situation in having only one child. She is doing really well for herself now I’m proud of her!

  14. She’s better off not living there anyway with that attitude, Ameri seems like a sweet woman. I don’t agree with polygamy but she didn’t deserve to be treated like that by the neighbors who did take the time to meet her.

  15. Meri whined incessantly. It’s gotten to the point that I can’t even stand her voice. This whole family! UGH
