So now it’s time to declare
your intentions to one another. [suspenseful music playing] So Jephte, do you
want to stay married, or do you want to get a divorce? I think you’re a great person
and you have such a big heart. And– I think– I think we were
meant for each other. So I’d like to stay married. Shawniece, do you want
to stay married or do you want to get a divorce? [suspenseful music playing] Sorry. Clearly, I haven’t
done a good job in my dating past or whatever. I’m super grateful and
thankful for you guys and for the whole “Married
at First Sight,” but– um– I really prayed
about it and I’m like– I want you to know that
you’re an awesome person and I know you
have a great heart. And I want to stay married
because I believe in us. [music – “i believe”]
SINGER: (SINGING) I believe We both challenge each other. We both make each
other stronger. And together we’ll
be unstoppable. Well!
[laughter] – Now, see you got me.
– I know. I’m tearing up. I’m sorry.
I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Do not be sorry. Just hearing her say it. Just caught in my whole body. I’m really excited for
my future with Shawniece. I’m still a little nervous too,
but I think this is the best decision I’ve ever made. If I were to have
children right now, with you, obviously, I know I’d
be able to trust you with them. And building that future, I
would love to have you around. Hearing my husband say
he wants to stay married is a great feeling. And hearing him say– I’m trying not to cry– and hearing him say
some of the things that he said that he never
told me, it makes me feel good. And I’m happy that
we’re staying together. And he’s stuck with me
for the rest of his life. But don’t tell him that. Everything that I
want for the future, like, as far as children,
I feel like I can trust you with that responsibility. And I’m excited for the future. I think this is cause
for a major celebration. I would agree. [applause] I am thrilled. I am so happy that they
are going to stay together. [champagne cork pops]
– (ALL) Ah! I think they are learning
how to dance together. And as long as they can
sort of hear the same music, I think that they’re going
to create a happy marriage. For better or worse,
for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health,
forsaking all others till death do us part.
Cheers! (ALL) Cheers!
[clinking of glasses] [music – “i believe”]
SINGER: (SINGING) I believe. Oh! (GIGGLING) I can’t
take you nowhere! Right.
