  1. Micah, please consider the very real needs of children of same-sex couples to have the legal stability and protections that having their parents married affords them.  Children of straight marriages are not endangered by this while children of gay people are immensely benefitted.  There's enough real life evidence from the experiences of same-sex couples' marriages elsewhere that demonstrates that your fears are unfounded and my claims are true.
